| INDUSTRIAL DESIGN & PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT Touch Interactive is essentially a consumer product design company offering a more contemporary range of design services geared towards the acquired skills of its founder. This includes a full range of computer skills, from precision 3D modelling using CAID applications to interaction design of user interfaces for new digital products. Touch Interactive is a perfect example of a new breed of Industrial Designers with mature product design and interaction design skills. With the development of new consumer products which have both tangible and virtual intefaces I believe these must be designed in unison to achieve a seamless integration between the design and brand of the hardware and the graphical user interface. Indeed, as the name suggests, this is exactly what Touch Interactive is about, and the reason for using this as a trading name instead my own name. However, the foundation of the this starts with Industrial Design and Product Development and I continue to offer this service for non-computer related product design, such as the design of domestic appliances, sporting goods, house wares, general consumer goods and furniture. Moreover, the Computer Related Industrial Design service cannot exist without Industrial Design and Product Development, and more often than not all of these design services start with the skills I have aquired as an industrial designer. Within the context of Industrial Design and Product Development I offer: FUTURE WORKSHOPS & STRUCTURED BRAINSTORMING technology and socio-cultural forecasting, future products and brands, new market opportunities. CONCEPT DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT concept generation, conceptual prototypes, 3D photo real concepts PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT appearance design, appearance models, surface and solid CAID modelling for universal deliverables, photoreal visualisation and animation INDUSTRIAL DESIGN MARKETING The Industrial Design Marketing service bridges the gap between design and marketing (my first degree was called Industrial Design Marketing). This for me is a very important part of the whole product development and marketing process and is based on the following philosophy: research establishes the need, hypothesis or design intent; design fulfils this; marketing strategy suggests the appropriate means of communication and design realises the communication strategy.
