Design Challenge:
As probably the largest manufacturer and distributor of fasteners and fastener related products in the UK and with a fastener advisory service to the product manufacturing industry with customers such as Dyson, Hoover, Flymo, Miele and Land Rover, Nettlefolds asked Touch Interactive to develop their company website in unison with FastFixNow.com, a new e-commerce venture. Drawing from the strength of the Nettlefolds brand, the company website would need to show its full range of products and manufacturing capabilities, and through case studies its unique consultancy experience in fastener technology.

Design Solution:
The website has a very simple and clean interface with clean industrial looking icons with clear metaphors based around the fastener theme. Navigation is simple this way, which allows a sub category to be presented closer to the bottom of the screen. The icons change when the mouse cursor rolls over them with a torus style metallic border and orange background to clearly indicate its state.

The design itself is clean, optimistic and industrial, and includes comprehensive case studies of the company's experience in supplying products and consultancy experience to manufacturers such as Dyson, Flymo and Land Rover and also has a quicktime BBC documentary and company presentation by Jeremy Clarkson, which can be viewed online.
